My Pets

I love the watercolors I do spontaneously. This one was done in one afternoon, no fuss, no bother. We now have this very special memento of that day to cherish for many years to come. So how did I get them to pose so nicely? Well, like so many pet sittings I do, the photos I worked on had to be taken separately then put together with the right perspective. That isn't always easy, but it doesn't have to be perfect. The friendly observer's eye automatically corrects a multitude of errors. We see what we choose. And here I sweetness and love.

It's time to think about the gift of original art. Pricing starts at $75 for a small (say 5 x 7") painted portrait of your child or pet. I love doing these so am keeping the prices affordable. I work with a photograph for the likeness. After that, I get creative! Contact me. You can't get more special than a hand painted loved one. Oil or watercolor.

What’s New

I'm not a shopper, but today, Black Friday, I was out there. I was tempted by the great sale prices at Jerry's Artarama in Tempe. I now have three huge canvases in my possession and am excited about getting started. First on the agenda is an oil of a Rome courtyard, something with the feel and colors of the Sarlot series in my oil portfolio. Picture a dingy crumbling wall with an archway framed by columns that opens into a brilliant courtyard. I'm putting this together for a client from her photographs and memories. We are off to a running start.
